Hi, I'm Paloma Schell,
a passionate photographer with over 1,000 newborn sessions completed since 2008. Throughout my journey, I've achieved significant milestones, explored incredible places, and shared my expertise at more than 30 photography conferences worldwide. While teaching remains a great passion, in 2020, I made the deliberate choice to step back from the big stage to deepen my focus on my clients. However, I haven't left my students behind—I now offer personalized and exclusive one-on-one mentoring for photographers.
I’m married to Leandro, my greatest supporter, who now manages my career, and together we raise our three wonderful children—Lipe, Luna, and Baby Lorenzo—who inspire me every day. Photography is not just my profession, but a reflection of my love for life, family, and the unique stories I capture.

Why do I do what I do?
As a mother of three, every moment with my family is precious to me. I am acutely aware of how swiftly time passes, stealing away those sweet toothless smiles, the tiny hands that hold ours so tightly, and the warm hugs that seek comfort and protection. This deep understanding drives me as a professional photographer. I am committed to capturing and preserving my clients' most cherished memories, accentuating the innocence and beauty of life's beginnings, and transforming them into timeless keepsakes.
Expertise, Publications & Ambassador
I graduated in Photography from UNIVALI (Brazil), where I built the foundation of my knowledge and specialized in newborn photography with renowned photographers from the USA, Canada, and Australia. My passion for capturing the delicacy of newborns began in 2008, during my first pregnancy, and in 2010, I turned that passion into my full-time profession.
In addition to my work as a photographer, I’ve had the privilege of serving as a judge in international photography contests and authoring two pioneering books on newborn photography: Practical Guide to Newborn Photography (2015) and Newborn Photography (2020), both widely recognized in the field.
My work has gained international recognition, with features on the covers of magazines such as Cyk Magazyn (Poland) and Newborn Magazine (Italy), as well as in Brazilian publications like Caras and Quem Acontece, especially in sessions with celebrities like Alexandre Nero, Jade Seba, and Bruno Guedes. A highlight of my career was having my photos selected for three consecutive years for the Italian social project Profumo di Vita, which raises awareness about the impact of domestic violence on children and supports the T.O.G. Foundation, providing free therapy for children with complex neurological conditions.
I also had the honor of representing SONY as a brand ambassador from 2019 to 2020, a significant milestone that recognized the influence and impact of my work in the audiovisual industry.

Since 2013, I’ve had the honor of speaking at over 30 photography conferences in 17 countries, connecting with and inspiring professionals across the globe. One of the most memorable experiences was in 2019, when I spoke at the "Belly, Baby, and Beyond Conference" in New York City alongside the iconic Anne Geddes. Her work has been a lifelong inspiration to me, and sharing that moment with her was a career milestone. Through these opportunities, I've been able to grow as an artist while helping others refine their skills, creating lasting bonds within the photography community.
Award Winner
In 2021, I received two awards from Regard D'Auteur. I ranked first as the international photographer of the year in the newborn and portrait categories and third in the general ranking as the international photographer. That is another remarkable moment I share with you, my clients, friends, family, students, and professional colleagues.
