The story of the Capsule Workshop began during the pandemic in 2020 when I was preparing to move to the USA, a move that was completed in February 2021. During this time, I had to decide what to take and what to leave behind, which taught me about versatility. Around that time, my brother, Fernando Schell, inherited a small part of my collection to start his journey in newborn photography, with the mission of doing excellent work with limited resources.

In the United States, I partnered with Deborah Koch and we founded the Koch & Schell Studio. Deborah focused on maternity, children, and family photography, while my specialty was babies. Over the course of three years, I focused on acquiring clients and reflecting on my career, always certain that if I returned to teaching, it would be to bring something new.

In January 2024, Deborah decided to focus solely on outdoor sessions, creating a gap in our studio and prompting me to resume studio maternity photography. Initially, I felt very anxious because Deborah had a large collection of dresses and accessories, and I was not prepared for such a significant investment at that time. With little preparation and no substantial investment available, I remembered my brother's success with his small collection. I invited Fernando to spend a season in the USA so that together we could develop a methodology that maintained the studio's quality without large investments. This way, we could test, validate, and refine the methodology that would become the most incredible project of our careers.

In recent months, we have dedicated ourselves to refining this methodology, culminating in the creation of the Capsule Workshop. Our goal is to show other photographers that it is possible to do excellent work with limited resources without compromising quality.

In this project, I will be leading the workshops in the United States while Fernando Schell will be traveling across Brazil.
